These Government
Offices are very important to the people of Reunion; most of them
are administered by the Office of the Lord
Protector. Their Head members are usually appointed by the
Lord Protector by Edict.
The Lord Protector of the Empire is His Majesty´s Chief of Staff, being his task to
administer the Moderative Branch and all the departments attached to it. Amongst those
Departments are the Réunian News Agency, the Imperial Chancellery (responsible for
Réunian Foreign Affairs) and the Ceremonial. All matters concerning Nobility are also
coordinated by the Lord Protector, who is to the Moderative Branch what the Premier of the
Empire is to the Executive Branch.
His Imperial
Highness, Filipe Oliveira was first apointed by His Majesty
to seat as Lord Protetor of the Empire in 1999, having served 12 months.
Oliveira returned to office on July, 2004, after the renounciation of
L.P. Gérson França.
